anyone had any experience with mint installs on a Power MAC ? should I rip that HDD out of the MAC and try to squeeze it into the PC and install from there ? then put it back in the MAC ? (just had surgery so trying to minimize the heavy lifting). bought a LIVECD version of Linux mint 17.3 KDE and the MAC will not boot to it.

think I must have burned 6 dvds with the iso as an img and none of them work (so thinking not the discs). I used Disc Tools to adjust the partition to 1 TB (which you can do starting in 10.5.8 and up), and installed the Ubuntu PowerPC 12.04.01 version along side OS X in the remaining 1 TB partition.
